Reason for choosing this sportShe was a member of the Alberta U18 ice hockey team when she decided to try speed skating. "I wanted to try something new. When I did, I fell in love with it, so I made the switch. When I'm racing, you get an adrenaline rush. I love that feeling. It's a different feeling compared to any other sports, anything else I've done."
When and where did you begin this sport? She took up the sport in 2014 in Calgary, AB, Canada. "For 10 years I grew up playing [ice] hockey, and I got an opportunity to try long track speed skating at the age of 15."
