Other information | SANCTION OVERTURNED In November 2017 the International Olympic Committee [IOC] banned him from competing at the Olympic Games for life, based on the findings of the 2016 McLaren Report into doping by the Russian Federation. In February 2018 his ban was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS], and his results from the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi were also reinstated.
