When and where did you begin this sport? | She began skating in 2005 in Daegu, Republic of Korea. She originally took up short track before switching to speed skating in 2010. | |
Reason for choosing this sport | She was encouraged to try the sport by her friends. She was also inspired by Korean speed skater Lee Seung-Hoon. Lee had switched from short track to speed skating and went on to win medals at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. |

Injuries | Injury meant she was unable to compete in the selection trials for the Korean national team ahead of the 2022/23 season.
