Other information | DISQUALIFICATION During the 2023 World Single Distances Championships the Dutch team was disqualified from the women's team pursuit after recording the fastest time. Judges noticed bare skin showing near Beune's ankle and International Skating Union [ISU] rules state that no bare skin should be visible, except for the face, for safety reasons. "It would have been good if we had been told to be alert to that, because a warning had already been given. When I look back, I see a very special race. At that moment I was technically racing very well. That is the positive thing I got out of it. And also that we saw that we were part of a 'golden team'. We have confidence in each other."
