In 2015 he moved to Hamar, Norway, to study at a sports high school and train with coach Eskil Ervik. "I was the worst one when I came to Hamar. Everyone gave up on me, but I was determined to train hard to reach my goals. I'm very happy that I came to Hamar and Wang [sports high school]. This is the best place in Norway if you want to be good at skating. After three years with Eskil Ervik I was among the best junior skaters in the world."
