Other informationRETIREMENT
In April 2020 he announced his retirement from speed skating. "The decision to end my career was not easy, it was no taken in five minutes. When you are constantly travelling, you don't have influence on things going on at home. It's painful. With the Olympic Winter Games getting closer, the tempo would be even higher, so I would be at home only few days. I want to calm down, enjoy daily routine and stop living in a constant rush. I want to be at home and finally spend time with my family." (tvp.pl, 18 Apr 2020)
