In December 2017 she was banned for two months and 10 days by the Italian Ice Sports Federation [FISG] after choosing to train with her club coach Giorgio Baroni rather than national coach Maurizio Marchetto. She had announced her decision in July 2017, stating that working with Baroni put her in the best mental condition to compete.
