In 2018/19 he became part of a new commercial team sponsored by Reggeborgh Groep, under coach Gerald van Velde. Prior to that he had been part of a group of seven Dutch speed skaters who were without a club at the start of the season, and were supported by the Royal Dutch Skating Federation in conjunction with the Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation [NOS*NSF].
