Famous relatives	His older sister Stephanie has represented Germany in speed skating and won a gold medal [team pursuit] and two silver medals [3000m, 5000m] at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. She also competed at the 2014 Games in Sochi. His younger sister Jessica has represented Germany in speed skating at junior level, while his younger brother Pedro competed for Germany in speed skating at the 2018 World Cup event in Erfurt, Germany.
