Other informationRETIREMENT THOUGHTS
She took a two-and-a-half year break from the sport in order to focus on a full recovery from an injury to her left hip after competing at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. Although she considered retiring permanently from competitive skating, national team head coach Johan de Wit encouraged her to return. She was called up to the national team for the 2021/22 season following selection trials. "I feel more grateful to skate after my time away from the sport.
