When and where did you begin this sport?He began roller speed skating at age three in Mysore, India. He first tried short track in the eighth grade of high school.  
Reason for choosing this sportHe considered roller speed skating to be his main sport but was drawn to short track because he had the dream of competing at the Olympic Winter Games. "I initially took it up as a hobby as it seemed fun."
