Injuries | He injured his knee in November 2019 after colliding with teammate Sven Roes. He sustained serious cuts to tendons and muscles in the incident and could not train on the ice for seven months. Other information | DIFFICULT RETURN He sustained a serious knee injury in November 2019, and he had to wait six weeks before he could start his rehabilitation. "I had to learn to walk again at first. It seemed very strange because I walked with a stiff leg. But as soon as I had mastered that, I could take steps forward. It is annoying not being able to do what you used to be able to do. That is the toughest mentally. You have to see what you can do with your knee every day. In a way it just like before the injury.
