Famous relatives

His father Roberto competed in speed skating for Italy at five editions of the Olympic Winter Games between 1988 and 2002. His grandfather Mario also competed in speed skating at national level in Italy during the 1950s and 1960s. His older sister Arianna has represented Italy in short track and was part of the women's 3000m relay team that won bronze at the 2021 World Championships, and the mixed 2000m relay team that won bronze at the 2023 World Championships.
