When and where did you begin this sport?	He began skating in 1994 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He was involved in short track before switching to speed skating in 2009.

Other information	SANCTION In July 2019 he was suspended for one year by the Korea Skating Union [KSU] after he was found to have physically assaulted two younger teammates. He returned to competition in November 2020.
